    Swivl is an edtech company transforming hybrid learning with an intelligent robot that automatically follows teachers, capturing and streaming high-quality video and audio.

    Swivl needed a rebrand that would unify its products and align them with a cohesive mission, enhancing its role in modern education. The goal was to create a brand identity that resonated with educators and students while driving growth.

    I led the team through a user-centered approach, utilizing Design Thinking to identify FORCES within the learning environment—how teachers, students, and technology interact. Through Design Sprints, we explored solutions that made Swivl’s brand more engaging and aligned with its mission. The process included:

    1. Understanding & Defining user needs through research and interviews.
    2. Sketching & Ideating solutions that embodied Swivl’s core values.
    3. Prototyping a refreshed brand identity built around Human, Technology, Relatable, Scalability, Supportive, and Playfulness.
    4. Testing & Validating with user feedback to refine messaging and visuals.

    We implemented a bold new visual identity, a unified branding system across products, and a scalable design strategy for future expansion. Since the rebrand:

    • 2018-2019: Swivl was in 20,000 schools.
    • 2020-2022: Adoption grew to 50,000 schools & universities.

    With this transformation, Swivl has strengthened its presence in EdTech, providing a more impactful, relatable, and engaging experience for educators and students worldwide.
